Omer Inan, Ph.D. serves as director of the APDC Technical and Product Core and is an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech. As director, he continues to oversee and advise innovators in all areas of technical and product development, connecting Innovators to subject matter experts both within the APDC and in the overall engineering community, and he will specifically provide expert support on electronics hardware development. This includes providing system architecture and electronics design review, component and manufacturer selection advice, and overall system design and verification support via consulting to investigators. Designing electronics hardware systems involves a complex interplay of many factors including power management, reducing electronic noise and interference, signal amplification and data acquisition, and interactions with the mechanical designers for system packaging and interconnects.
