Mehul V. Raval, M.D., M.S., serves as a director for APDC and is a pediatric surgeon at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He is an assistant professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. At Emory University he serves as the director of the Center for Outcomes Research and Public Health and the director of research for the Division of Pediatric Surgery. His primary clinical interests are in newborn surgery and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He is an active health services researcher whose primary interests are in quality and process improvement, outcomes measurement, healthcare policy, and value-based care. He is a funded investigator and was recently awarded a R01 grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Dr. Raval has over 80 peer-reviewed publications, 130 regional, national, and international presentations, and serves on several national committees focused on improving quality and safety and optimizing the delivery of surgical care.
