The McGowan Institute - in collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, SciVelo and the Philadelphia Pediatric Device Consortium - is hosting their 2nd Annual Pediatric Innovation Retreat, July 13, 2018 at the William Pitt Union. The program will be comprised of “game changing” technology presentations, translational practicums, a keynote luncheon, and moonshot pitches. As an organization dedicated to improving therapies for patients and enhancing the quality of life of people, McGowan is curious about technologies that can be game-changing and developed differently than as done today. The Retreat Planning Committee is seeking abstracts for:
1. “Game Changing” Podium Presentation – presentations are being solicited for groundbreaking technology in your laboratory, clinic or enterprise with the potential to disrupt the healthcare, life sciences or pediatric market.
2. “Moonshot Idea Pitches” - ideas for 5 minute high-risk, high-reward propositions are being solicited. The ideas should be: UNEXPECTED, PUSHING LIMITS, WORTH IT! The objective of this session will be to stimulate ideation and collaboration.
All abstracts and ideas for presentation should be sent to Patrick Cantini at firstname.lastname@example.org. By April 30, 2018.
If you have questions about the Retreat, you can reach out to Jamelle Price Pricej6@upmc.edu or 412-624-5303.
